Yesterday, Tyler and I uploaded an estimated 200+ MB of video to YouTube… The YouTube Symphony Orchestra auditions deadline was yesterday!
The YTSO has two phases. Phase one is a collaborative video project where everyone participating records themselves playing a symphony composed specifically for this event (Internet Symphony No. 1, “Eroica,” by Tan Dun). Somehow, they’re going to put all those videos together.
Phase two is where those who want to can record a second audition video of themselves playing one or two recommended audition pieces. These videos will be judged, and the best of the performers will be selected to perform the Tan Dun symphony at Carnegie Hall.
So Tyler and I decided to participate, and after practicing for about a month-and-a-half, we got our videos done, barely in time!
And here they are:

Great job guys, hope you’re selected!
Great sound, too; did you record with the AT897?
